UHT and Pasterurizer

UHT treatment for food and dairy products UHT treatment requires both a sterilizer and an aseptic unit (for packaging the product). It is used for low acid (above pH 4.6) products such as UHT milk, UHT flavoured milk, UHT creams, soya milk and other dairy alternatives. The same process is also used to sterilize prepared food, such as soups, sauces, desserts, tomato and fruit preparations, and baby food.

Brief introduction of UHT

The product is continuously heated and cooled for a short time in a completely sealed system. While killing all harmful microorganisms, it has little influence on the flavor and nutritional components of the product, and prevents the secondary pollution of the product. Generally, there are two types of tube and plate. The tube is widely used because of its reliability under high temperature and high steam pressure. The main characteristics of the system are as follows:

1.       The processed food can keep fresh for several months without refrigeration

2.       Food flavor, color, nutrients and other damage is minimal,

3.       The tube type has high energy utilization rate;

4.       Adapt to different materials, long continuous running time

Equipment introduction

The tubular heat exchanger is composed of a shell tube with several small tubes inside, and then connected with multiple sections of composite tubes. Each section is a pass. The inner tubes of each pass are connected with U-shaped tubes, while the outer tubes are connected with branch pipes. This kind of heat exchanger has many passes, generally arranged up and down, fixed on the support. The products flow in the inner tube, and the heating medium flows in the outer tube in reverse,Heat exchange through the inner tube wall

Scope of application:

Tubular heat exchanger is suitable for all kinds of products, especially: high viscosity products, products with large fiber and pulp particles, products with high acidity and corrosiveness to dead corner, products with low acid and sterile particles, such as ketchup, fruit juice, coffee drinks, margarine, ice cream, etc

In addition, tube sterilization system is widely used in pasteurized, high temperature and ultra high temperature milk production

For the tubular heat exchanger designed and manufactured by our company, the number and diameter of tubes in each shell tube can be changed to meet the product properties and heat requirements. In order to avoid thermal stress, these tube groups float independently on the shell

In terms of structure, it can be divided into three parts

Full tube type: that is, the whole heat exchange process is completed in the composite tube, and there is no other heat exchange unit in the system. If the material is viscous or contains particles, this type should be selected

Mixed type: that is, the heat exchange in the high temperature section is completed in the composite tube. The preheating section of biological material and a cooling section of cooked material can be combined to conduct heat exchange in a section of plate. This form consumes less energy and can greatly reduce the consumption of ice water and cooling water. In the production of rare materials, this form is more suitable

From the control form, it can be divided into:

Full automatic control

(equipped with PLC control, color touch screen, automatic cleaning, production and disinfection)

semi-automatic control

(equipped with common electrical cabinet, automatic control of return valve and steam regulating valve, manual control of other flow control valves)

It can be divided into three parts

Imported type:

Main components such as flow control valve, directional valve, control instrument are imported

Domestic type:

Main components such as flow control valve, directional valve, control instrument, etc. are domestic type

The sterilization temperature can be divided into: 1

Pasteurization system:

It is suitable for the condition of final sterilization temperature 85 ℃ - 95 ℃,

High temperature sterilization system:

It is suitable for the condition that the final sterilization temperature is 117 ℃ - 125 ℃

Ultra high temperature sterilization system:

It is suitable for the working condition of final sterilization temperature of 137 ℃ - 140 ℃

The actual temperature control of the system is very stable, and the floating range is ≤ 1 ℃

Basic process of tube sterilization system

The product is transferred from the balance tank pump to the tubular heat exchanger. In the heat exchanger, the product is indirectly heated by superheated water to the required sterilization temperature. After being kept in the temperature holding tube for a period of time, the product is cooled rapidly. The temperature sensor detects whether the product has reached the preset temperature, so as to ensure that the product that has not been thoroughly sterilized cannot enter the filling machine, A single pressurized hot water circuit is used for heating and cooling

Simplified operation

 The control system is installed in a stainless-steel control box, including PLC and man-machine interface required for automatic start-up program. The operator only needs to press one button to clean and disinfect, the preset program can be changed with the permission of the equipment manufacturer. The system can deal with the failure at any time without causing the mixing of unqualified products

More flexible options

The system can be used for one or more purposes, such as producing 137 ℃ UHT milk, 120 ℃ high temperature short-term sterilized milk, 85 ℃ pasteurized milk and 95 ℃ yoghurt according to the change of temperature. Its control only needs to select according to the corresponding key and text prompt on the touch screen to complete the relevant production tasks automatically
